So of course this ‘rally’ is all about adventure, experiencing different cultures, meeting new people and having a laugh along the way, but its also about raising some much needed funds for some very worthy causes.
We’re raising money for two charities, one in Mongolia and one here at home.
The Mongolian charity we’re raising funds for is Save The Children which is a world wide independent organisation working for the rights and protection of children. The money we’ll raise will go towards education and child protection work in Mongolia.
At home we also want to raise money for a local non profit organisation “Lus na Greine” which provides a five day pre-school service for children aged between two-and-a-half and six years who have varying degrees of developmental delay, and some of whom have additional disabilities.
This year Lus na Greine are fundraising to provide a brand new outdoor play area, complete with safety matting to ensure the kids have a safe and enjoyable time using the play area.
